Wow I'm so lucky to have done the bridal hair and makeup for the cover of New Zealand Weddings magazine. This bridal shoot was done at Mollies.. A fantastic place to have a classy Auckland wedding.. Nestled in Herne bay, this wedding makeup and hair was inspired by Louis Vuitton campaign ad. Slightly 50's theme its a great bridal makeup and hair look!

This was our second Auckland bride for our wedding shoot in Herne bay. The bridal makeup was soft muted warm tones with a slight matte finish.

Anna Schimmel's campaign.. in These dresses were so beautifully crafted, it's really couture..

Her bridal gowns are among the best you can find in Auckland.

i must have used a can of hairspray for this wedding shoot in West Auckland. The brief was to make it a high fashion bridal look, but also very clean and pretty. Very unique bridal hair!

I really enjoyed doing this shot in Herne bay Auckland...

I prepared the hair with mousse in semi damp hair, then round brushed and pinned into a set. I then sectioned and teased, smooth hair back into a pony tail. I hid the elastic by covering it and bobby pin a piece of hair around the elastic. Then the remaining hair tease and spray with hair spray then smooth it out and pin into shape.. Yes it was a bit of work.

the makeup was soft and matte with apricot cheeks on the apple and brown shadow used as liner with a wet brush. and nude lipstick.

Simple makeup more complicated hair.

Result= groomed lady like look that is inspired by the current

LOUIS VUITTON campaign.

for glowing skin before the big event:

be sure to

get ample sleep at a decent hour.. the later the hour lesser beneficial time you have for skin repair and rejuvenation.

drink lots of water and lemon..in chinese culture apples are said to improve the health of skin.

vitamin b is great for lips that are consistantly cracked.. the acid in tomatoes are also believe to add to the stress of cracked lips..

look out for a lip balm that includes all natural ingrediants like beewax and coconut oil.. try TUI BRAND. located in your pharmacy or health food shop..stay away from ones that dont include a majority of natural ingrediants as much as they promise some medicinal treatment, these are usually not very effective. exfoliate lips with wash cloth or soft toothbrush will help encourage softness and fullness.

try a weekly exfoliation with a paste of water and almond meal, also try steamming face over a basin of hot water and lavender essential oil followed by a gentle facial massage with a facial oil.

for ezcema and dry itchy skin try collodial silver in a spray bottle. which you can find in your pharmacy.
